BRECONSHIRE v TYNE AND WEAR
Well no early Christmas present for Tyne and Wear, with a long travel down to Breconshire things just did'nt go to plan.
On the Saturday the Ladies B could only manage 2 games coming in the first game from Emma Roberts taking Lady of the Match with a (15.79) and a 3-1 win
and the last game from Ann Watson (15.55) 3-1, the other games coming from Jean Stanley (15.71) Edie Casey (13.38) Toni Meek (13.31), and making her county debut was Amy Bell who had a 180 but lost out 3-1 .
The Mens B lost out 7-5 but there were some tight games going to the 5th leg.
The winning games were from
Anth Skelton (20.25) 3-1, Karl Clark (22.22) 3-2, John Rutter (21.23) 3-1, John Nicholson (21.30) 3-2 and Neil Rose (23.41) 0-3
On the Sunday it was a draw for the Ladies with Maureen Purvis (17.87) 3-2, Vera Younger (22.77) 0-3 and Joyce Stead hitting a 180 (20.56) 3-1.
Well done to Vera on a cracking game earning her the second LOM award.
A repeat of Saturday from the men with another 7-5 defeat.
winners were Davy Thompson (20.32) 3-2, Davy Stokell 180 (23.85) 3-2, Paul Johnson (22.10) 3-0, Richie Egglestone (22.30) 3-2, and last but not least getting the double up of the weekend and getting back to his winning ways was Neil Rose (27.21) 3-1 well done Neil.
Overall the weekend was tight darts and missed doubles but well done everyone who played, lets be hoping we can go in to the New Year on a winning streak.
